The Death Of Bingo Daubers

Do you remember Bingo daubers? There are actually a lot of people that do not remember these small dabbing tools that were used during the days when brick and mortar bingo was the only one that you could engage in a game of bingo.

Bingo daubers were simple canisters that were filled with different ink colors. There were different blues, pinks, yellows, greens and even multi-colored daubers. Some of these ink filled canisters would produce circles on your Bingo specials while other daubers would produce different shapes on your bingo specials.

A lot of children would play with their parent’s daubers when they were in a bingo hall with them, while their parents enjoyed this relaxing game. There are a lot of bingo halls that still implement the use of daubers. However, technological advances are getting rid of these exciting ink filled canisters.

For instance, online Bingo games do not use daubers. Instead everything is done through your home computer or a virtual machine in a lot of bingo halls these days. It is not odd to see people in brick and mortar bingo halls set in front of large computer playing the game.

In many different ways, Bingo daubers made a game of bingo exciting. Personally, it is easy to recall using these bingo daubers like crazy while a caller boisterously screamed out different bingo numbers that had to be dabbed.

Bingo daubers made it easy to keep up with the numbers that were called on your bingo cards. However, these days everything is beginning to turn towards a virtual way of engaging in bingo game play. The traditional bingo daubers that many people were accustomed to, are being thrown aside and virtual machines are replacing paper specials.

You could say that it is only a matter of time until bingo daubers become extinct.  Paper bingo specials are already being replaced, therefore without these paper specials there is no need for multi-colored bingo daubers. We guess that one day the people that are engaging in a game of bingo will be oblivious to the fact that bingo daubers even existed.
