Is Bingo An Age Qualifier Game?
Whenever you hear someone carrying on conservations about bingo what is the first thought that enters into your mind? Most people begin to think about the game in general and how mundane playing bingo can get; while other people tend to categorize the game of bingo as an age qualifying game.
The term age qualifying means that people generally believe that in order to enjoy a game of bingo you should be a certain age. Generally, this age is around 50 and beyond. However, the age qualifier does not apply and many people simply make this stipulation up because in the past, bingo was seen as a game for elderly people to enjoy.
It was not odd in the past to walk into a bingo hall and see individuals that were well into their 70s or 80s enjoying the game. However, in the past most bingo halls did not have any qualms when it came to these elderly individuals bringing their children or grandchildren with them into the hall that the game was being played.
As elderly bingo players began bringing their children and grandchildren to bingo halls the age qualifier began to dissipate. These elderly individuals were opting to introduce the game of bingo a younger age group that could carry on the legacy of their game play, so to speak.
These days, we have internet bingo to fill the void in our day. In fact, there are so many individuals that engage in internet bingo that the age qualifier rule definitely does not apply. A business man in New York may be engaging in a game of bingo with a maid from Germany.
Internet bingo does not disqualify you from engaging in the game if you are older or younger in age stature. Your race or your background does not have anything to do with the game as well. Therefore, all of the stereotypes that people used to place on the game of bingo have pretty much dissipated and individuals of all different age groups, creeds and religions enjoy avidly engaging in an intense game of bingo via the internet.
