Bingo origins from old types of lotteries. The Italian government was the first to organize lotteries in the 1530's. The first Bingo game was developed in France.

In 1929 there was a carnival game traveling around New York state that was called Beano. The players used dried beans, a cardboard sheet and a rubber stamp. Edwin Lowe a New York toy producer noticed that players shouted "BEANO" when someone won.

When playing Beano with a couple of friends, mr Lowe heard one of them shout BINGO instead of Beano. Bingo was born.

In the late 40s, Bingo reached high popularity throughout the US, with thousands of games played every week. Today Bingo is played all over the world and on the Internet. Internet Bingo is growing each day.
